Beat the Winter Blues!

We have had a cold and snowy end to our fall season here in New Hampshire. With the short hours of day light and cold temps, the family and I have admittedly been spending too much time inside. And since December is far too early for the winter blues to set in, we have been making a concerted effort to get some outside time every day.

As I am sure all of you know, fresh air is one of the BEST ways to turn a day around. Here are a few ideas to get your brain wheels spinning and get outside

  • Try a new winter sport (we have started cross country skiing)

  • Go snowshoeing

  • Follow an animal track in the snow to learn about our wild neighbors

  • Take a hike

  • As the lakes freeze up, try ice fishing or pond hockey

  • Or just go for a walk!

We will be posting some cold weather safety content over the next few weeks so stay tuned for that.

Stay warm and enjoy the cold!
